Welcome to the Corporate Futsal Shield
How can I get involved?
We're looking for 8 squads for the first tournament, with 8 players on each. Every player will be asked to make a £25 donation to enter (why not ask if your company has matched giving scheme?) We'd also be really keen to hear from companies interested in wider sponsorship opportunities associated volunteering. Those who want to can pre-arrange food for the night from Flavour Gateway, our catering social enterprise.

What is the Shield?
The Shield allows corporate teams from across Canary Wharf and The City compete against each other in a quarterly 5-a-side futsal tournament. As well as being a fun physical activity, the shield directly supports City Gateway's work in the local community |
When does it kick off?
The next tournament will take place on Tuesday 1st February 2011 from 7.00pm to 10.00pm at Play On Sport, 100 Preston's Road, Wood Wharf Business Park, Wood Wharf, London, E14 9SB, which is situated near Canary Wharf Station. (see map). All teams will get to play several short games in a mini-league, before semi-final and final matches decide the overall winners.

Where is the Futsal tournament played?
The tournament takes place at Play On Sport, 100 Preston's Road, Wood Wharf Business Park, Wood Wharf, London,
E14 9SB, which is situated, near Canary Wharf Station. (see map)
Changing facilities and toilets are available at the venue as well as a bar and snacks.
A first round mini-league will be followed by knock out finals.
Each player entered is asked to make a suggested donation of £25. |
